About  Leslie

Finding the right therapist is an important first step towards your journey of healing and growth.  Here’s some information about me so you can develop a sense of who I am and how I’ll work with you.

I provide psychotherapy to individuals, teens, couples and families who are dealing with issues such as depression and suicide, anxiety, grief and loss, domestic abuse, trauma, family conflict, change and transition, work-related stress and eating disorders.

In addition to working in private practice, I was a therapist and Clinical Director at The Center For Discovery, an outpatient eating disorder clinic in Pleasanton. Prior to that, I was a therapist at Casa Serena, specializing in the treatment of Anorexia, Bulimia and Binge Eating Disorder.  I also have extensive experience counseling teens, adults and families at The Bill Wilson Center as well as providing grief counseling at their partner organization, The Center For Living With Dying.

My therapeutic approach is direct, active and empathetic and I tailor my work to the style, goals and comfort level of each client. I draw upon complimentary therapeutic methodologies, including Cognitive Based Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Therapy and Strength Based Therapy,  so that you can effectively address personal life challenges.

I have a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Santa Clara University and a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco.  I continue to enhance my skills as a psychotherapist and stay abreast of the latest research by attending seminars, conferences and courses at nearby universities.
